Version 2026-10-31 · Published and effective October 31, 2026
Use Nexus respectfully. Protect people’s privacy. Follow the law and our Community Rules. Staff have final authority over moderation within Nexus, while your legal rights remain intact.
1. Using Nexus
These Terms govern Nexus at nexusapp.fun and its apps, accounts, messages, communities, calls, developer tools and integrations. “Nexus,” “we” and “us” refer to the independent operator and authorised team running this service. Nexus is independently operated and is not presented as a registered company. It is not affiliated with Discord.
By creating an account or continuing to use Nexus after being presented with these Terms, you agree to these Terms and the Community Rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Only agree for an organisation if you are authorised to bind it.
2. Age and account responsibility
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required in your country to use Nexus. If you are below the age at which you can enter this agreement independently, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and supervise your use. Do not misrepresent your eligibility.
Keep your credentials and authenticator codes private, use accurate account information, and tell staff about suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account and integrations. Staff will never ask you to reveal your password or authentication tokens. Accounts, usernames, beta access and badges are permissions to use the service, not property rights or guarantees of permanent availability. Do not sell, steal or trade accounts or reserved names.
3. Behaviour and prohibited content
The Community Rules apply everywhere on Nexus, including DMs, profiles, media, calls, clips, soundboards, servers, bots and webhooks. Do not use Nexus to harm, exploit, intimidate or deceive people, violate their privacy or rights, break the law, or interfere with the service.
Child sexual exploitation, grooming, sexual content involving anyone under 18, non-consensual intimate media, threats, doxxing, targeted harassment, hate and violent extremism, fraud, malicious software, stolen credentials, dangerous illegal transactions and ban evasion are prohibited. Sexually explicit content is not allowed on Nexus, including in private or invite-only spaces.
Do not encourage suicide, self-harm or eating disorders, share instructions intended to facilitate serious harm, or celebrate such harm. Supportive, non-graphic discussion and recovery resources are permitted. Do not create false reports, abuse the reporting system or retaliate against someone for reporting.
4. Your content and other people’s rights
You retain ownership of content you create. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload or share it. Do not infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity rights or other legal rights.
You give Nexus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display and technically adapt your content only as necessary to operate, secure and provide the service you use. This is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your content. The licence lasts while the content is hosted and for any limited retention necessary for backups, security, legal obligations or handling a dispute. Copies other users independently saved may remain outside Nexus’s control.
Do not copy Nexus branding or impersonate Nexus staff in a misleading way. Report intellectual-property issues through Safety & appeals, identifying the work, the allegedly infringing content and your authority to complain. Do not upload unlawful material as evidence.
5. Privacy, calls and recording
Nexus processes account details, credentials, profile information, messages, uploaded files, settings and safety records to provide and protect the service. Cloudflare provides hosting and network infrastructure; Mailjet handles account emails when email features are used. Network providers process connection information, and Nexus uses security records, including protected IP identifiers, for rate limits and abuse prevention.
Share only what you intend your recipients and authorised community moderators to see. Staff may review reports and relevant service records where necessary to investigate abuse, maintain security or comply with legal requirements. Text and uploaded files are stored by the service; do not assume they are end-to-end encrypted. Live audio/video uses participant connections, which can expose network information to peers. This beta is not a service for confidential or highly sensitive information.
Obtain every participant’s clear agreement before recording, clipping or sharing a private conversation or call. Nexus clipping requires approval from every current participant, and consent can be withdrawn. Do not bypass these controls or use external recording to evade consent requirements. Respect recording and privacy laws even if someone agrees in the app. Nexus cannot reliably block screenshots or external recording, and cannot recall an exported recording. For privacy or account-deletion requests, use the contact form.
6. Servers, moderators and developer tools
Server owners and moderators may set additional rules that comply with Nexus policies. They are responsible for the communities and integrations they manage. A private server, bot, webhook, role or custom invite does not create an exception to platform rules.
Bot and webhook operators must protect tokens, request only necessary permissions, explain their data use, and obtain appropriate permission before collecting or using personal information. Do not scrape private data, spam, secretly record people, evade limits, access another person’s account or sell service data. Third-party integrations are operated by their developers, and you should review their permissions and policies before authorising them. Report security issues privately through the contact form; do not exploit or publish private data.
7. Enforcement and staff authority
Authorised Nexus platform staff have the final word on moderation and access within Nexus, subject to applicable law.
Staff may interpret and enforce these Terms and the Community Rules, assess context and risk, and remove content, revoke invites or integrations, issue warnings, limit features, suspend accounts or servers, permanently end access, or block abusive network access. Serious or urgent cases may result in immediate action without a prior warning. We may preserve relevant evidence and respond to lawful requests or refer suspected criminal activity to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.
Platform decisions take priority over server owners, community moderators and local server rules. Staff must act for service safety, security, legal compliance or enforcement of these Terms. Staff authority does not permit unlawful discrimination, retaliation or overriding mandatory legal rights.
8. Reports and appeals
Submit reports or request a review through Safety & appeals. Include your username, relevant message/server references, the action you are appealing and a clear explanation. Never send passwords, authenticator codes, bot tokens, government identity documents or illegal imagery. Provide a contact email if you want staff to be able to contact you.
Staff may correct mistakes, request more information or uphold an action. After review, the authorised platform staff decision is final within Nexus. Do not evade an action while it is being reviewed or harass staff with repeated identical requests. This internal finality does not limit any rights to challenge a decision, contact a regulator or seek a legal remedy under applicable law. Reports are not public; relevant details may be shared when necessary to investigate, resolve a request or comply with law. The form is not monitored continuously and is not an emergency service.
9. Beta availability and ending use
Nexus is a developing beta. Features may change or be withdrawn, and interruptions, bugs, lost data or incompatibility may occur. Keep your own copies of important material. Do not rely on Nexus for emergency communications. You may stop using Nexus at any time and request account deletion through the contact form. Deletion may be subject to limited retention needed for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention or disputes.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not exclude warranties, consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Responsibility and legal rights
You are responsible for harm caused by your unlawful conduct or violation of these Terms, subject to applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, Nexus is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or losses caused by third-party services, unauthorised disclosure by other users or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer, privacy and data-protection rights. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a waiver of collective legal rights. Applicable mandatory law remains controlling.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service develops or legal requirements change. We will publish the version and effective date here and provide notice of material changes through the service where reasonably practicable, with advance notice where required by law. Changes do not apply retroactively to disputes arising before they take effect. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Contact the Nexus team about these Terms, safety, appeals, privacy or legal concerns through Safety & appeals. That form routes requests to Nexus’s staff moderation queue.
